Only if tenant failed to notified landlord within seven (7) days of the rent being due that he/she cannot pay rent for the following reasons:

1. Tenant must self-certified that he/she cannot pay past due rent because of COVID-19 financial hardship. Must be done for every month past-due.

Notification can be in any manner, written or verbal.

Only if tenant failed to do ALL of the following:

Tenants notified landlord within seven (7) days of the rent being due that he/she cannot pay rent for the following reasons:

1. Tenant must self-certified that he/she cannot pay past due rent because of COVID-19 financial hardship and
2. Tenant must declare of their income level is at or below the Area Median Income (AMI).
3. • Tenant must meet the household income at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI) level for rent incurred on or after July 1, 2022.

Self-certified, declaration, or notice from tenant can be in any manner, written or verbal. Must be done for every month past-due.

Requirement that tenants not be financially impacted by COVID-19 for Owner Move-Ins to
be allowed.

• The Landlord or Landlords qualifying family member must physically reside at the property for at least thirty-six (36) consecutive months;
• The Tenants of the unit must be current on rent payments and not have been impacted by COVID-19;
• The Landlord or Landlords qualifying family member must be similarly situated to the Tenant currently occupying home;
• The Landlord must provide at least sixty (60) days’ notice to Tenant
• The Landlord must pay tenant relocation assistance as required by the County’s Rent Stabilization Ordinance or the incorporated city’s applicable ordinance or regulation.
